Volunteering in Peru is a Real Experience
Peru is a country of huge contrasts with a dramatic social and economic reality.
Many children are unable to pursue studies or simply have no choice but to face the harsh reality of having to work in the streets from an early age.
The volunteer in Peru program involves working with those children in a small school in the city of Cuzco and helping children to develop the educational skills that they were supposed to learn in state education.
You can also choose to work in an orphanage, a home for street children, a center for old people, institutions for children with physical problems, schools, hospitals and many other institutions and programs.
What can you to do help as a volunteer in Peru?
There are many social projects in which you can participate, including volunteering to work with children: The children need a lot of help. Volunteers can choose the functions they prefer or for which they are most suited, in consultation with the director of the center.
You can help the children with their education: teach them English, mathematical skills, art, etc. If you prefer you can help with the care of the youngest children, or simply play with them, because these children need a lot of love – a resource which can be in short supply in poorly funded institutions.
You will never forget the smiles on the faces of these people. The children will be profoundly grateful for your support.
We also offer volunteer programs for doctors, ecologists, economists and agriculturalists, as well as in the fields of fair trade and the building of homes for the poor. Help is needed in many aspects of Peruvian life.
